Pear, Almond & Chocolate Flapjack Crumble
6 ripe FruitDirect Buerre Bosc Pears, peeled, cored and diced 1-2cm
2 Tbsp honey
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ cup plain flour
¾ rolled oats
¾ cup ground almonds
125g butter, chilled and diced
100g dark chocolate (min 70% cocoa), roughly chopped
¼ cup soft light brown sugar
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Set aside a medium baking dish. Add pears to the dish and drizzle with honey. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, until pears are softened, remove from the oven and set aside.
Mix cinnamon, flour, oats and ground almonds and until combined. Add butter and rub in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles rough breadcrumbs.
Stir through chocolate and sugar. Pour crumble topping over softened pears and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top.
Serve with cream, ice cream or yoghurt.
